Tim Sporcic is a software engineer with many other interests living in Plano, TX. He is an army brat, having graduated from high school at Heidelberg American High School in Germany. He went on to spend 10 years in the USAF as an airborne linguist flying aboard RC-135s (Rivet Joint, Cobra Ball, Cobra Eye) and AWACS. He participated in Operation Desert Storm where he supported the mission aircraft out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After the military, Tim started his career in technology working in the south of France for Gemplus. He then moved to Dallas, TX, to work for ObjectSpace and has lived in the area ever since, working for multiple local enterprises. He has been writing Java for over twenty years but is also interested in other languages and technologies.

Tim has many interests he enjoys writing about, including photography, music and table-top gaming.
